Provide speech language therapy, assessment, education, plans and support to ECI children and families ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job. Develops, implements and provides individual speech language therapy with infants and toddlers in a variety of inclusive and natural settings. Provides families with consultation and therapy services in the home Evaluates for, and develops assistive technology/adaptive equipment to assist in daily living skills and to promote independence. Organizes and conducts assessments and service delivery plans. Is knowledgeable about community resources and service delivery systems. Provides consultation and training for other Interdisciplinary team members to facilitate therapy programs. Coordinates interdisciplinary services for families. Completes accurate and timely documentation including progress notes, and other required documentation. Works in accordance with ECI philosophy regarding natural environment and teamwork with other ECI practices Complies with ECI of Metrocare and ECI State policies and procedures. Supervises and trains SLP Assistants, students and interns. Contributes to the growth of the agency through additional activities (i.e. volunteering, outreach, committees, etc.) Attend weekly ECI staff meeting, and TC meeting. Passionate in advocating for and educating for children QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or other applicable area. 2 or more years experience working with infants and/or families MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills required. Ability to work with reports and numbers. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. COMPUTER SKILLS: Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize Internet for resources. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment. Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
