Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Arlington Heights, IL 60005
Pay Rate: $35.00-50.00 p/hr
Shift: 8:15-3:45pm Mon-Fri
Grades: K-8
Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join a supportive K-8 school district team in Arlington Heights, IL. This is a school-based position working alongside a dynamic group of eight Occupational Therapists. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about student success and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to K-8 students as part of a comprehensive special education and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) team
Conduct initial and re-evaluations to determine special education eligibility
Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and families to support student goals
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver MTSS interventions and consult with teams to ensure generalization of skills across settings
Maintain accurate records, service logs, and documentation as required by district and state guidelines
Requirements:
Illinois Occupational Therapist License (active or eligible)
Experience in a school setting preferred or with pediatric population.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with IEP development, MTSS, and school-based service delivery models
