Job Description
An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services to elementary school students, contributing to their academic success and overall development throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
Location: Joliet, IL
Position Type: Contract, 37.5 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Setting: Onsite service delivery at two elementary schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation and engagement
- Manage caseloads across Liberty Elementary School and Burnham Elementary School (caseload details to be finalized)
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and compliance with state regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute therapeutic expertise
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapy License required
- Experience working within school-based OT services preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy and healthcare settings is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with school staff and families
