Description

  • Conduct assessments for diverse populations, spanning from children to seniors, employing observational techniques and standardized assessments.
  • Craft individualized therapy plans focusing on both immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions that enhance communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Facilitate education for patients and families, bolstering their treatment progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Support the occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless patient care during their treatment journey.
  • Uphold precise and compliant documentation as per state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in professional development through ongoing education and collaboration with your peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required within 30 days of employment: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
