Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the contract school year (CSY) in a K-12 educational setting located in West Hartford, CT. This role focuses on delivering speech therapy services to a caseload of 25-30 students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, supported by an SLPA to assist in service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with diverse communication needs. Work closely with an assigned SLPA to optimize therapy outcomes. Support one student with a cochlear implant. Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Adapt therapy approaches to meet the specific needs within a school environment. Qualifications and Experience: Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required. Experience in healthcare, pediatrics, and school-based speech therapy preferred. Strong knowledge of K-12 student population and speech-language developmental disorders. Ability to work independently while coordinating with school personnel. No feeding therapy cases or fragile student caseloads in this position. Candidates should not currently hold CF (Clinical Fellowship) status or be SLPA certified. Familiarity with communication devices preferred; however, VOCO services are not part of this role at this time. Location: Position is situated in West Hartford, Connecticut within a K-12 school district.
