Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

The Outpatient Occupational Therapy clinic at TLC - The Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville, MD is seeking to hire a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will be under the guidance and supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. FT and PT hours are available. EOE

The position assists with and contributes to the diagnostic and rehabilitative services provided by the OT. Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques of occupational therapy required. Must be able to work as a team member, ability to document and prepare accurate detailed records, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to obtain, clarify, and exchange information. At least 2 years of experience is preferred.

Salary range $29 to $36 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements for the COTA:

• Requires an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and eligibility for a Maryland licensure must be established prior to employment
• One to two years of pediatric experience is preferred, but a new graduate with exemplary fieldwork experiences may be considered
• Must maintain current licensure and certification status consistent with state and professional standards
