Your Role

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric client bases through standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Cultivate customized treatment plans that meet immediate goals while accounting for long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to create effective care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond each session.
  • Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive care across each step of the treatment path.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation aligned with all state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on best practices through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certification Needs

  • Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within your first month of employment.
