Description

  • Assess patients across all age groups using both standardized evaluations and a keen observational approach.
  • Create individualized treatment plans focusing on immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions addressing communication, language, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families, empowering continued progress beyond the clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care.
  • Document treatment progress and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
