School Speech & Language Pathology Assistant

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide essential speech and language therapy services. This contract role spans the full school year and is located onsite in Williamsburg, VA, approximately one hour southeast of Richmond, near Newport News, and one hour northwest of Norfolk. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized speech and language therapy services to assigned student caseloads Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language skills Prepare clear, detailed reports and present findings to interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate progress documentation and update relevant records Collect and analyze ongoing data to monitor student progress and adjust plans accordingly Qualifications and Experience: Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting Experience working with school-aged children in educational environments Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educators Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while ensuring compliance with school policies and state regulations Proficiency in evaluation, report writing, and data management related to speech-language services Location:
