Requirements:

• 1 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience in Psych and/or Adult Geriatric.
• Valid Physical Therapist license
• Be willing to obtain VA licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Psych facility, you'll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability to provide Physical Therapy programming, evaluations, and treatments for adult and geriatric individuals.
Collaborates with others involved in care to facilitate increased functional patient outcomes
Within 5 working days of receiving consult, evaluate and document treatment needs in EHR.
Within 3 days of evaluation, develop/implement Physical Therapy treatment plan.
Develop and implement treatment protocols with clear objectives to meet the needs of patients.
Communicate pertinent information and concerns to the treatment teams, physicians, and nursing staff.
Redirect patient behavior, as needed.
Maintain a safe and hazard-free therapeutic environment .
Report accurate daily feedback on changes in patient behavior to the treatment team and PSR Director.
