Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions designed to enhance language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Engage in continuous education and collaboration with peers to stay updated on the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an institution accredited by the appropriate body.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
