Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups, employing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate cohesive patient care plans.
  • Provide educational outreach to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress outside of clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure consistency in care throughout the patients recovery journey.
  • Uphold accurate and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuing education and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of advancements within the field.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
