Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within a K-12 educational setting in Benton, LA. This role is designed to support students with speech and language needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans for students.
Conduct speech and language screenings and gather data on student progress.
Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other educational staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and coordination of services.
Qualifications:
Valid SLPA certification or licensure in accordance with state requirements.
Experience working with children in a school or educational environment is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to follow detailed treatment plans under professional supervision.
Commitment to supporting students academic and social development through speech services.
Location: Benton, Louisiana
Type: Contract
