Description

  • Evaluate individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations with a blend of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that target both immediate objectives and address ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions centered around language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to create cohesive care approaches.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and families to aid progress outside of clinical sessions.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout treatment.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of advancements within the field through continual education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
