Supervisor Social Work - Emergency Department Providence St. Joseph Health - Seattle, WA
The Supervisor position reports to the Manager, Case Management and is responsible for the direct supervision of assigned Social Workers. Supervision includes the daily coordination and management of all assigned Social Work staff to ensure excellence in customer service. The Supervisor develops and implements an operational plan that includes staffing resources, policy and procedures, orientation and education, and quality improvement activities under the direction of the manager. The position assures timely provision of coordinated patient care that includes all social work functions of care coordination, discharge planning, and psycho-social assessment and interventions through application of social work standards of care. The Supervisor maintains expertise in social service processes and ensures that services are aligned with the vision and goals of the department.

Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work
Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License upon hire
3 years Recent experience dealing with diverse patient populations including various age groups with physical or developmental disabilities, emotional, behavioral, and mental disorders, and substance abuse, or complex care needs in acute inpatient care areas
Previous Social Work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisor or lead experience
