Description

  • Provide focused speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrative care strategies.
  • Offer education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond the therapy room.
  • Facilitate some inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a continuous care experience.
  • Diligently document patient interactions in accordance with local, national, and organizational requirements.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth by staying updated with advances in speech-language pathology through educational experiences and peer interactions.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not yet attained ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of joining.
