Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using a mix of standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals and the long-term development of communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Provide focused speech therapy sessions covering a spectrum of communication aspects, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, healthcare teams, and families to craft integrated care approaches.
  • Educate clients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Support inpatient services by occasionally performing evaluations to ensure a seamless care experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation in accordance with established healthcare regulations.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, embracing the latest innovations in speech-language pathology.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of hire.
