Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized testing and observational assessments.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
  • Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate harmoniously with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and families to ensure progress continues outside clinical settings.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and provide seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
  • Keep precise records and documentation in accordance with local, state, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion, with ASHA certification preferred but not necessary upon hire.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA is a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
