Job Responsibilities

- Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one therapy sessions that emphasize language, speech fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to craft integrated care plans.
- Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate progress between therapy sessions.
- Conduct necessary inpatient speech evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain meticulous records that comply with state and federal standards, showcasing your patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) desirable if not yet ASHA-certified.
Licenses and Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: ASHAs Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within the first month of employment.
