Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting, serving students from Preschool through 8th grade. This contract role offers a 37.5-hour workweek and involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse student population, including preschoolers in the surrounding community. The position is itinerant, with the SLP working collaboratively alongside another SLP assigned to the same school. Key Responsibilities: Deliver thorough speech and language evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for students across Preschool through 8th grade. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific communication needs. Coordinate services within the school environment and community settings. Collaborate effectively with fellow SLP and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Maintain detailed and timely documentation of student progress and compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Experience or willingness to work in a school-based setting. Ability to provide support and mentorship, ideal for new graduates or professionals new to school environments. Must be physically present; tele-therapists and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will not be considered. Location: Position is based in Bridgeport, CT.
