Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions centered on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise cohesive care strategies.
  • Provide essential education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Assist with intermittent inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout their journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to all relevant state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in the field through continuous education and professional collaboration.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • A preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
