Description

  • Comprehensively assess patients from pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational assessments.
  • Curate individualized treatment plans tailored to address both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on language development, fluency, voice modulation, and nutritional swallowing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to forge an integrative care plan.
  • Educate both patients and their families to nurture progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a well-rounded approach to ongoing care.
  • Document accurately and promptly, adhering to all state and federal standards.
  • Stay abreast of new advancements in the field through continuous education and engagement with fellow professionals.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
