Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics to assess their communication and swallowing capabilities through a combination of standardized tests and observational measures.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Provide engaging, one-on-one speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, as well as caregivers, to formulate effective care strategies.
• Deliver essential education to patients and their families to foster progress outside therapeutic settings, ensuring a holistic approach.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, safeguarding a seamless continuity of care throughout a patients therapy journey.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to obtain ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of commencement.
