Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families that promotes progress beyond the walls of our clinic.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining continuity throughout the therapeutic process.
• Document all clinical activities in line with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Enhance your skills by engaging in continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology earned from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of employment.
