  • Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
  • Deliver meaningful one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
  • Collaborate intimately with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to form comprehensive, united care strategies.
  • Facilitate education for patients and their families to foster progress outside the clinic setting.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire therapeutic journey.
  • Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
  • Continually enhance your skills through ongoing education and partnership with professional peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
