Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Speech Language Pathology (25-26)

DePaul University Speech Language Pathology Program invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin January 1, 2026. This exciting opportunity comes as the program resides within the newly formed Department of Rehabilitative Sciences and Professions (RSP), offering a unique chance to shape the future of RSP and contribute to DePaul Universitys mission of academic excellence.

This 12-month appointment includes classroom instruction, clinical supervision of graduate students, service contributions to the program and university, and research. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about our mission and vision and possess experience working clinically with pediatric and/or adult populations. Strong preference will be given to those focused on areas such as: child language, speech sound disorders, voice, AAC, motor speech, dysphagia, or neurogenic disorders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Licensure, or eligible for licensure, from the State of Illinois

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the field of speech language pathology
  • Experience supervising speech language pathology students (Graduate level or CF students)
  • College or graduate level teaching experience (Or clinical teaching in school or medical settings)
