Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing established assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that fulfill both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that concentrate on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to establish integrated care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate their progress outside of clinical environments.
• Participate in patient evaluations and interventions as needed, guaranteeing that continuity of care is maintained throughout the treatment process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Remain informed about the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
