Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract We're seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our remote education team serving students with communication needs across New Mexico's virtual school programs. This position offers the opportunity to utilize innovative technology while delivering traditional therapeutic excellence. Program Overview This full-time remote position encompasses 36.5 hours weekly with a balanced caseload of approximately 49 students across grades kindergarten through twelve. You'll provide specialized communication services through secure online platforms while maintaining the personal connections essential to student therapeutic progress. Professional Responsibilities Implement individualized speech and language therapy programs via teletherapy systems
Perform comprehensive communication assessments using virtual evaluation protocols
Create and modify IEP objectives based on ongoing student performance data analysis
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through virtual meetings and professional consultations
Develop home practice programs and provide family training sessions for carryover
Adapt therapeutic activities for engaging online presentation and meaningful student interaction
Document services accurately and maintain compliance with federal and state educational regulations
Therapeutic Focus Areas Your caseload will include students with diverse communication needs including articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic language challenges, fluency disorders, and communication needs related to autism spectrum disorders. You'll serve students from early elementary through high school transition programs with varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Professional Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA-approved program
Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Current New Mexico speech-language pathology license
Two years minimum experience providing speech therapy in school environments
Proven ability to deliver effective services through virtual platforms and teletherapy methods
Strong technical skills with online therapy tools and digital assessment instruments
Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and professional colleagues
Remote Work Setup This position requires a professional home office environment suitable for confidential student sessions. You'll need reliable high-speed internet, quality audio/video equipment, and familiarity with various teletherapy and documentation platforms to ensure effective service delivery.
