Category Therapy - Skilled - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in the Port Townsend, WA area, serving elementary school students. This full-time, in-person contract position runs from September 2, 2025, through June 12, 2026 (subject to schedule adjustments). Part-time applicants with the right qualifications will also be considered. Location: Port Townsend, Washington Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day Caseload: Approximately 45 students with diverse disabilities Setting: Elementary school, in-person required Key Responsibilities: Provide direct speech-language therapy services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations as required Collaborate closely with special education directors, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain consistent communication with families and educational staff Document student progress and update IEP documentation accurately Support inclusive and positive learning environments tailored to student needs Qualifications: Valid Washington state ESA certificate with SLP endorsement or eligibility to obtain certification Clearance of Federal Criminal Background Check Proven experience in evaluation, intervention, and IEP development Strong collaboration and communication skills Familiarity with IDEA, school-based service delivery, and state regulations Demonstrated ability to engage and build rapport with students and families Previous experience in school settings preferred Benefits and Perks: Competitive hourly pay starting at $52+, commensurate with experience Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options Travel stipends for qualified candidates Guaranteed hours covering both direct and indirect services Comprehensive hiring and onboarding support This role offers a meaningful chance to serve a smaller, close-knit educational community and make a lasting impact on student achievement.
