Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This contract position offers an opportunity to provide occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Souderton, PA, covering a leave from mid-November to mid-January. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive OT support to students across various grade levels, ensuring their developmental and educational needs are met through specialized interventions. Key responsibilities include: Conducting thorough occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to determine student eligibility for services under IDEA and Section 504. Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized OT goals and treatment plans as part of the IEP/504 process. Providing direct and consultative OT services in diverse educational environments, such as classrooms and therapy rooms. Collaborating closely with teachers, special educators, school psychologists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and families to enhance student outcomes. Supporting skill development in areas such as fine motor control, sensory processing, self-care, handwriting, visual-motor integration, and adaptive behaviors. Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. Participating in IEP/504 meetings and contributing to educational planning. Advising on accommodations, modifications, assistive technology, and classroom strategies. Offering staff training and consultation on OT support techniques. Ensuring adherence to Pennsylvania Department of Education and licensure requirements. Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license issued by the PA State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure. NBCOT certification. Required Pennsylvania clearances including Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance. Experience or strong interest in working with children and youth in educational settings.
