Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and school-based licensure is needed to provide specialized support for middle school students in a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to work in an educational setting focused on helping young learners improve their communication skills and academic performance. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification or licensure Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication development disorders Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals Skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring Location: Position is based in Ithaca, New York, supporting a middle school environment Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs Implement evidence-based intervention plans tailored to individual student goals Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate speech goals into the classroom Document student progress and prepare reports as required Communicate effectively with parents and team members to support student success Participate in meetings relevant to special education and student services Benefits and Perks: Opportunity to influence students' academic and social communication growth Engage in a collaborative, supportive educational team Gain valuable experience in a dynamic school environment Candidates with the required certifications and a passion for supporting student communication development are encouraged to apply for this contract role.
