Description

  • Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions, focusing on areas such as communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure seamless care strategies.
  • Provide essential education for patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to maintain a continuum of care for all patients throughout their treatment journeys.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
