  • Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions, concentrating on various aspects like communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage in a collaborative effort with fellow healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to create holistic care strategies.
  • Provide educational support to patients and families to enhance learning and progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Facilitate occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring a smooth continuum of care during the recovery process.
  • Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Remain abreast of evolving practices in speech therapy through active participation in continuing education and teamwork.

Education

  • Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
  • BLS certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
