Job Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, speech, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to encourage continued progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Support inpatient therapy assessments and interventions to maintain seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Ensure timely, precise documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest best practices in the field through continuing professional education and collaborative peer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Specialist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
