Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver focused speech therapy interventions interacting closely with patients regarding language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work in harmony with a team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to formulate unified care plans.
  • Educate patients and families to support progress outside clinical appointments.
  • Occasionally facilitate inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout treatment phases.
  • Uphold precise documentation that aligns with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth through educational activities and collaborative dialogue with peers.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within the first month of employment.
