An opportunity is available for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a school setting in Federal Way, WA. This full-time, contract position spans the entire 2025-2026 school year, primarily serving two elementary schools. The role requires professionals with current Washington state OT licensure and school certification (ESA), accompanied by proven school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across a K-12 caseload, typically comprising 900-950 direct service minutes weekly.
  • Deliver services across approximately two schools, balancing schedules to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, including paraeducators, RBTs, and other support staff, to support student goals and compliance with district guidelines.
  • Participate in necessary evaluations, documentation, and individualized educational program (IEP) meetings.
  • Engage in ongoing training and coordination with a supportive team focused on school-based therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington state Occupational Therapy license.
  • ESA school certification for Washington.
  • Experience working within school districts, preferably K-12.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse educational teams.
  • Commitment to providing direct service within an on-site, full-time schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
