- Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress between appointments.
- Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout their health journeys.
- Be meticulous with accurate and punctual documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Remain informed about new advances in speech pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't yet achieved ASHA certification.
Certifications
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Ohio.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
