Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for a diverse patient base, embracing pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create personalized treatment plans that reflect the individual needs of each patient, targeting both immediate and long-term objectives in speech, language, and swallowing.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice clarity, and swallowing confidence.
  • Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Educate both patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond the therapy room.
  • Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, ensuring seamless support throughout the continuum of care.
  • Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation in accordance with state regulations and organization policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications Required

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within the first month of employment.
