Description

  • Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that emphasize language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated approach to care.
  • Provide essential education to patients and their families to foster progress beyond individual therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and sessions when necessary, ensuring seamless care continuity.
  • Uphold meticulous record-keeping to comply with state, federal, and institutional regulations.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
