Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using established evaluation techniques and clinical observations.

• Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, articulation, fluency, voicing, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, physicians, nurses, caregivers, and family members to devise unified treatment plans.
• Equip patients and their families with educational resources to enhance their progress during and beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in care throughout their recovery process.
• Keep thorough documentation that adheres to both state and federal guidelines, as well as organizational policies.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Essential: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 30 days of employment.
