Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a middle/high school setting in Kent, WA. This is an on-site, contracted position for the 2024-2025 school year, serving a caseload of approximately 50 students. The role requires providing specialized speech and language therapy to middle and high school students within the school environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to middle and high school students. Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with communication disorders. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success. Manage a caseload of approximately 50 students without the assistance of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Provide services in accordance with state-approved practice standards and ethical guidelines. Qualifications and Experience: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience in healthcare, pediatrics, school-based settings, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred. Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged populations. Ability to work independently and manage a substantial caseload efficiently. Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP. Location: On-site position based in Kent, Washington. Middle and high school environments.
