Description

• Conduct evaluations of patients that span pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term needs related to communication, cognitive functions, or swallowing.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions covering communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to both patients and their families, empowering progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Assist in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing continuity throughout the care journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed on advancements within the field through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
