Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support K-12 students in a school setting near Machesney Park, IL. The caseload primarily involves low-functioning students in self-contained classrooms, with the majority diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The position is onsite and works closely with a lead OT and paraeducators to provide targeted therapy tailored to each student's needs. Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students aged K-12 Collaborate with lead OT and paraeducators to implement therapy plans Support students primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in self-contained classrooms Monitor student progress and document outcomes Adapt therapy techniques to meet individual student needs Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant Licensed as an Illinois COTA Experience working in schools preferred, especially with special needs populations Strong communication and collaboration skills Location & Work Environment: Onsite position near Machesney Park, IL Work with a focused self-contained caseload within a K-12 school Benefits: Comprehensive full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision 401(k) plan with employer match Accrued sick leave Competitive compensation between $30 and $40+ per hour based on experience This contract position lasts for the full school year.
