YMCA Lafayette 3001 S Creasy Ln Lafayette, Indiana 47905 Sign on Bonus available (Ask Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-on Bonus) The Occupational Therapist III is a certified hand therapist and/or holds an advanced certification/specialization and provides evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Generally, you will have a more complex patient caseload and perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning. Develop a treatment plan with measurable goals based on patient assessment. Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services including discharge planning. Mentor and train students, therapy staff and other clinical staff. Contribute to departmental policies, procedures, PI processes, and protocols. Assist with analysis of outcomes data to ensure compliance with established goals and regulations. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Techs. Collaborate with patient and other healthcare personnel or outside agencies regarding coordination of care. Provide leadership and oversight in specialty practice areas assisting with program development as assigned. Coordinate staffing schedule to provide volume and patient-specific need-based staffing; adapt schedule to adjust for staff shortages ensuring adequate staffing for quality patient care. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy Required Master's Degree Occupational Therapy Preferred Doctorate Occupational Therapy 3 years Occupational Therapist Required Occupational Therapist (OT) - State Licensing Board Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association Certified as required by specialization - .
