Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across diverse populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, utilizing standardized assessments along with observational strategies.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Provide education for patients and families to support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in sporadic inpatient evaluations and interventions, thereby maintaining continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
  • Maintain prompt and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay updated with developments in the speech-language field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a board-recognized institution.
  • A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not acquired yet.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
