Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Loves Park, IL

A healthcare professional with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license is sought to support K-12 students across multiple school districts in Loves Park, IL. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and involves an onsite role providing occupational therapy services primarily for students with mild to moderate needs, including some in behavioral and life skills programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 35-40 students across several school districts
• Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to K-12 students needs
• Support students in behavioral programs and life skills development
• Collaborate with educational staff to integrate therapeutic goals within the school setting
• Maintain documentation and comply with district and state guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois COTA license required
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting
• Ability to handle a diverse caseload including mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility to work approximately 37.5 hours per week, typically 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some schedule flexibility
