Provides individualized quality patient care, prepares patient and room for procedures, and circulate for any and all procedures. Maintains and applies principles of safety. Works in cooperation with other health team members.
Assists with technical functions related to the scrub role for cardiovascular procedures OR
Monitors patient's vitals and documents for any and all procedures.
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direct patient care and support as part of the health care team.
- Observes the patient's physical, mental, and emotional conditions and reports any changes as appropriate.
- Assists in circulating all invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Serves a population eighteen through geriatric.
- RNs only: provide procedural sedation per hospital policy
- Monitoring and documenting all invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures, initiate procedure time out as per hospital policy
- OR
- Provide quality, effective patient care through skilled assistance with cardiovascular interventions, knowledgeable of the equipment and supplies for procedures, prepare supplies and equipment for all procedures.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to apply the basic principles of patient care
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Keyboarding skills and basic computer skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate of accredited radiology technology program,
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year of cath lab experience
REQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Current licensure as a radiology technologist in the State of Kansas OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist OR
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas
- Healthcare Provider BLS through AHA or ARC before start date
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
