Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized metrics and observational insights.
• Engage in crafting individualized treatment plans designed to meet short-term objectives as well as long-standing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions, focusing on communication elements such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, families, and caregivers to devise seamless care strategies.
• Educate patients and family members to encourage further progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain timely and precise documentation, in accordance with state, federal, and organization requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
