- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions, focusing on communication elements such as language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, families, and caregivers to devise seamless care strategies.
- Educate patients and family members to encourage further progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in infrequent inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain timely and precise documentation, in accordance with state, federal, and organization requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
