Description

  • Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions that target language, cognitive function, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers for all-encompassing care plans.
  • Provide guidance to patients and their families to enhance their progress outside of clinical settings.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care experience.
  • Document patient progress with precision, adhering to state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Engage in continuing education and peer exchanges to stay abreast of industry innovations.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required.
