Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observation skills.
- Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate and long-term goals addressing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families for a unified approach to care.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the healing journey.
- Uphold precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and entity regulations.
- Continuously expand your knowledge in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of your start date.
